Q. Why is Solfile App different from other astrology apps?
A. Your astrological profile is calibrated uniquely to you, meaning Solfile maps your astrological Birth Chart into what we call your “Character Code”, revealing the intrinsic qualities of your authentic self. Solfile analyses your “Character Code” to produce nine personality characteristics, we call your “Footprint”.
Q. What information do I need to provide?
A. It is essential to input your exact date, time, and location of birth to ensure the accuracy of your Birth Chart. We keep your details secure and welcome you to review our privacy statement.
Q. What if I do not know my exact date, time, or location of birth?
A. If you are unsure of your time of birth, you may use an estimated time during the day of your birth. The accuracy of your results will be less specific. If you would like to determine your time of birth, we can assist you by applying a method to find your time of birth with the help of your major life event dates. Your birth time rectification can be arranged via our “In Focus” astrology live consultation option.
Q. How much will it cost me to subscribe to Solfile?

Q. Can I opt out of my subscription anytime, and how do I do this?
A. Yes you can, how to unsubscribe:
The steps to unsubscribe from an in-app purchase are via phone settings, not within the Solfile app itself. Please go to settings on your apple or android phone.

Select ‘subscriptions’ and it will show your Solfile subscription
Click on cancel subscription and this will cancel your subscription

Q. How do I best navigate around this app?
A. Link to explanatory video on our Solfile App is available on Solfile’s log in page, in the App Menu, and on our website solfile.com.au for assistance.
The “Home” button located bottom / middle on your Solfile screen will always bring you back to the quick access summary of features available.
Also, refer to Solfile’s menu located in the top left corner of the screen.
Q. Customise your settings
A. You can change: Language, Screen Theme, Discovery Chart Type, AstroCartography mapping and Notifications via the Solfile menu located in the top lefthand corner, then scroll down to Settings to find these options.
Footprint Feature - “My Birth Chart”
Q. What does “Footprint” mean?
A. Your astrological profile is calibrated uniquely to you, meaning Solfile maps your astrological Birth Chart into what we call your “Character Code”, revealing the intrinsic qualities of your authentic self. Solfile analyses your “Character Code” to produce nine personality characteristics, we call your “Footprint”.
Your Footprint can be shared with others by clicking on this share button located top right in your Footprint page.
Discovery Feature - “My Daily Forecast”
Our “Discovery” feature allows you to review your daily forecast by love | wealth | health | career | lifestyle. Our premium subscription maps your daily forecasts out to twelve months which is perfect when planning a holiday, family occasion or personal milestone.
Each daily forecast is measured [0-100%] by significance; meaning, the likelihood of its level of impact upon your daily life. The level of significance or intensity is colour coded to provide a quick reference guide; with RED [highest], ORANGE [moderate], YELLOW [low] or No Colour representing no impact at this particular time.
Solfile will send you mobile alerts only on days [6am] which are rated at their highest significance (RED). You can review and change your alert permissions located in your Solfile Menu / Settings. To receive these important alerts, make sure your Notifications are switched on via the Solfile menu / settings.
Q. Do I receive any messages from Solfile?

Q. What will “Career” insights provide me?
A. Career insights apply to any of your professional activities, job prospects, daily work interactions and purpose and earnings-related undertakings. It also covers your status, potential opportunities for new and existing developments and dynamics in your work environment.
Q. What will “Wealth | Love” insights provide me?
A. Wealth insights cover your financial wealth prospects and developments. It highlights recommended timing of forming connections and opportunities in this area as well as the nature of the options that present for your consideration.

Q. What will “Lifestyle” insights provide me?
A. Lifestyle covers all daily inter-relationships and their dynamics during the forecasted time – Friendships, personal and professional partnerships, social interactions and home or family environments. This area also includes information about our past-times, hobbies and other milestone events that may take your focus.
Q. What will “Health” insights provide me?
A. Health insights cover your well-being situation and any current influences that affect your state of comfort and happiness. It highlights recommended actions to improve energy levels and pinpoints potential stress factors including the choices that present for your consideration.
Synastry Feature - “My Relationships”
FIND LOVE MATCH is Solfile Astrology’s brand-new synastry compatibility feature launching this November. Instead of looking at simple zodiac sign matching, it maps your exact birth chart directly against another person's chart to reveal how your unique cosmic energies interact.
Q. What exactly is "synastry"?
A. Synastry is the astrology of relationships. It takes two separate birth charts and overlays them to calculate the specific cross-chart interactions (aspects) between your planets. It explores the real story behind your dynamic—explaining how you attract, communicate with, and support each other.
Q. Who can I use the FIND LOVE MATCH feature with?
A. While it is heavily optimized to evaluate romantic partners and crushes, you can use it to explore your relationship dynamics with anyone—including a long-term spouse, a "situationship", or even a close friend.
Q. What data do I need to use it?
A. To get the most accurate love compatibility reading, you will need to input the birth date, birth time, and birth location for both you and the other person.
Q. Can I still use the feature if I don't know my partner's exact birth time?
A. Yes! If you do not know your partner's exact birth time, the FIND LOVE MATCH Match feature will automatically default to 12:00 Noon to generate the report. While an exact time provides the highest precision for house overlays, the default time still allows the system to calculate powerful planet-to-planet alignments (like your Venus to their Mars) so you don't miss out on vital chemistry insights.
Q. What specific relationship dynamics does the feature look at?
A. FIND LOVE MATCH dives deep into core planetary cross-aspects:
Venus & Mars: Evaluates your romantic attraction, passion, and sexual chemistry.
The Moon: Reveals your emotional compatibility and how you both need to be comforted.
Mercury: Maps out your communication styles and mental compatibility.
Saturn: Examines your potential for long-term commitment and staying power.
Q. If we get a low compatibility score, does it mean the relationship is doomed?
A. Not at all. Synastry describes the energetic patterns and potential friction points between two charts—it does not dictate your fate. Astrology provides the blueprint for understanding your unique dynamics, giving you tools to navigate conflict repair and build a stronger connection.
Q. Privacy & Data Protection: Does Solfile collect information on the person I am checking compatibility with?
A. No. Your privacy—and the privacy of your connections—is our top priority. Our FIND LOVE MATCH feature does not collect or harvest data on your potential partners. Solfile will never ask for their actual name, email address, or contact details.
Q. What details are required to run the report securely?
A. To maintain complete privacy, the feature only requires a nickname (or any placeholder name you choose), along with their date, time, and location of birth. This is the bare minimum data required to produce an accurate, secure synastry report without compromising anyone's identity.
Q. Is FIND LOVE MATCH a free feature?
A. It is included as a core part of Solfile’s premium feature set. You can experience partial access during our 30-day Free Trial to preview how it works. To unlock the full depth of your cosmic relationship insights, you will need a Premium Subscription.

AstroCartography Feature - “My Travel Guide”
Q. What is AstroCartography and how can I use it?
AstroCartography (locational astrology) maps your natal chart onto the world. It shows where planetary energies may feel stronger or more alive—helpful for travel, relocation, work, love, or timing a trip.
Solfile surfaces cities along your lines. Where lines cross we show hotspots where influences can feel especially concentrated; other listings still reflect meaningful line contact without a crossing.
Q. How AstroCartography works
At the moment you were born, each planet had a specific place in the sky as seen from your birth location. AstroCartography takes those positions and recalculates them as if you could have been born anywhere on Earth.
That produces the coloured lines you see wrapping the globe.
Spending time near a planetary line tends to brighten that planet’s themes in your experience—strongest exactly on the line, and often noticeable within your selected ACG distance band (for example up to roughly 300 km or 100 km).
Q. How important is an exact birth time—and are results personalized?
Yes—an exact birth time makes the map more precise. Each unique set of birth details yields a highly individual map. The lines are effectively “relocated” perspectives on your chart: they show how the same natal factors express across the surface of the Earth.
Q. Can I still use the map without my exact birth time?
Yes, with caveats. Angles (Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, IC) and fast bodies like the Moon shift quickly; even small clock errors (from about ten minutes onward) can move lines and change highlighted cities. Slower planets such as Jupiter or Saturn are less sensitive to a few minutes. If your time is unknown or approximate, treat hotspots as guidance rather than exact coordinates—verify against your chart when you can. Birth certificates, hospital notes, or family recall are the best sources.
Q. What do the different lines mean?
Most planets can form up to four classic great-circle lines tied to the chart angles:
AC (Ascendant): self-presentation, identity, and how you “show up” in a place.
DC (Descendant): one-to-one relationships, contracts, and what you meet through others.
MC (Midheaven): career visibility, reputation, ambition, and public life.
IC (Imum Coeli): home, roots, family, private life, and inner security.
The planet on the line flavours the story (for example Venus emphasises harmony and connection; Saturn can feel serious but supports structure and mastery). Always read lines in context of your full natal chart—never as generic fortune cookie lists.
Q. What does it mean when several lines cross?
Crossings blend planetary stories in one region. The feel may be amplified, supportive, or tense depending on the planets involved. Many people find these crossings intense, memorable, or quietly pivotal.
Q. What are Paran lines?
Paran lines mark places where two planets were simultaneously angular at your birth (for instance one rising while another culminates), even when their main map lines do not visibly intersect. They often appear as latitude bands and can highlight synergies, hidden talents, or added intensity in specific regions.
Q. Will I notice a line’s effect immediately?
AstroCartography is a guide, not a guarantee. Effects can be subtle at first, build over time, or depend on transits and your life chapter. Distance matters—being far from a line softens the signal. Pair the map with your natal chart, relocated chart for that place, and (in Solfile) Discovery context for transits.
Not every line shouts; some support quietly while others challenge growth. So-called “difficult” lines (Mars, Pluto, etc.) still offer evolution.
